Another Day, Another Dumbass

by gunpowderchronicle 29. July 2010 12:23

Another stupid dumbass motherfrakking idiot, surely a nominee for the Darwin Award, has gone missing after swimming in Loch Raven Reservoir.

How many damn times will these apes, monkeys, and slack-jawed dumbass city-slickers try to swim in the area reservoirs before they learn to read the frakking signs that say "NO SWIMMING".

How many times will county rescue workers -- oft times, volunteers -- have to risk life and limb to recover these little apes, monkeys and slack-jawed dumbass city-slickers from the waters?

How many tax dollars will be spent, and never recovered, in pursuit of recovering these bodies?

Here's my proposal:  get the body for sure. It might contaminate the drinking water.  But hold it until the family pays for the cost of recovery, and if they don't, then cremate the body and bury it in the state's mass grave down in Crownsville.

Heather Macdonald Destroys Judge Bolton

by gunpowderchronicle 28. July 2010 20:49

Over at National Review, Heather Macdonald destroys Judge Bolton’s weak, pathetic legal reasoning behind her decision to grant an injunction on Arizona SB1070.

Frankly, I have to wonder if Judge Bolton is another moron alumni from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Ghettomore Kills Another Upstanding Citizen

by gunpowderchronicle 26. July 2010 20:27

According to the Baltimore Sun, Hopkins researcher's promising life cut short in robbery.  Yet another civilian in Baltimore struck down in the prime of life.  Why does anyone move to that cesspool of a city?  Any fool that moves inside the city limits, at this point, deserves what they get.  I have lost all sympathy for the residents of that hell-hole.  To me, Baltimore City is nothing more than an old rotting Broad Creek latrine:  I go there to do my business, I don’t sit all the way down on the seat, and I shift forward to avoid the splash-back.

Congratulations to the Baltimore Mayor and City Council.  Nice little killing zone you’ve developed there.

I’m A Racist Now. Okay, Fine.

by gunpowderchronicle 20. July 2010 19:00

According to the NAACP.  I am a racist.  I am white, I am conservative, and I believe in small, limited government.  Oh, and personal responsibility.  So that makes me a racist.  Fine, I can live with that.  You know why?  Because there are things I know that the liberal black leadership in this country refuses to admit, and until they do, it won’t matter what they call me… because it won’t fix the plight of actual living black Americans.

Some Budgeting Ideas a Conservative Might Propose in Maryland

by gunpowderchronicle 5. July 2010 11:52

This year’s Maryland state budget is a farce.  It was balanced largely on fund transfers (like stealing money from the oil spill disaster recovery fund), federal “stimulus” money,  and planning on the US Congress transferring millions of dollars to the states to boost Medicare/Medicaid payments.  Today, the fifth day of the new fiscal year, we are already in technical deficit on the budget.

O’Guvnah and his Dark Servants like to say “we’ve cut to the bone” and “we’ve made the hard choices”, but that just isn’t true.  We have yet to see a philosophical shift at the state level about spending, about hiring, about management.   Until that happens, we will be in perennial deficit.

Rage

by gunpowderchronicle 5. July 2010 01:31

I feel nothing but unfettered rage for the President of the United States.  I know that doesn’t surprise many people, because I have always felt that Barack Hussein Obama didn’t have the experience to run a simple snow-ball stand.  I think his mishandling of the recession, the budget, the deficit, the oil spill, and the attempted and real terrorist attacks on the United States since he took office are evidence enough that he is nothing more than – as Herb Brooks once said -- “a monkey humping a football”.

But after reading these two columns (column1 | column2) by Chuck Norris at Human Events Online,  about the President’s utter lack of respect for the Boy Scouts of America as its Honorary President, I feel pure, unbridled rage.

Since William Howard Taft in 1910, every United States President has been the Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America.  This is unique among youth organizations in the United States of America, as the Boy Scouts remain the only youth organization chartered by Congress.  For any President, the position of Honorary President should be regarded as an honor, a duty, and a privilege.

But not for this President.  No, this President who only makes political calculations when making choices has decided that the Boy Scouts’ decision to deny membership or leadership roles to openly homosexual boys an men is just too hot to handle.

Fine.  He has a disagreement with a private organization on its membership requirements and regulations.  That is fair.  Many people do, including Eagle Scout Steven Spielberg.

But the honorable thing to do in that instance would be to not accept the titular position of Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America.  Of course, such a decision would require conviction, courage, and honor, three attributes which evade this president every day of his life.

This President should know that THIS Eagle Scout is enraged at him for such an action.  I am enraged at his slights and his ignorance.  His lack of character.  His deficit in understanding his duty.  His determinant lack of honor that seems to pervade every word and action.

His actions in now way reflect proper deference and due respect to the Scout Oath and Law, which as the Honorary President I would expect him to know and agree to abide by.  His further insult to the Boy Scouts of America – documented eloquently by Chuck Norris – shows that THIS President lacks character, honor, and sense of duty.

He should resign from the position, or he should embrace it fully.  His approach in no way exemplifies the Scout motto of “Do Your Best.”.

Ghettomore Kills Another Marine

by gunpowderchronicle 3. July 2010 21:45

Yet another Marine is killed in Ghettomore.

If you are a veteran or an activity-duty serviceman, the simple fact is, you are safer in Baghdad.  Not much, but at least there, you can shoot back.

Not in Ghettomore, a city populated (and policed) by a vicious and violent form of human being.

And there isn’t a damn thing Bealefeld can do about it.

How’s that Pandemic Working for You Now?

by gunpowderchronicle 2. July 2010 11:43

This from the government that wants to control your health care:

ATLANTA — About a quarter of the swine flu vaccine produced for the U.S. public has expired — meaning that a whopping 40 million doses worth about $260 million are being written off as trash.

"It's a lot, by historical standards," said Jerry Weir, who oversees vaccine research and review for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The outdated vaccine, some of which expired Wednesday, will be incinerated. The amount, as much as four times the usual leftover seasonal flu vaccine, likely sets a record. And that's not even all of it.

About 30 million more doses will expire later and may go unused, according to one government estimate. If all that vaccine expires, more than 43 percent of the supply for the U.S. public will have gone to waste.

MSNBC has the full story here.

Let’s not forget that when “swine flu” or H1N1 started to get rolling, the US government was (once again) totally behind the eight-ball, with major bureaucratic fubars preventing pharmaceutical companies from responding effectively.  So what did Soddom on the Potomac do?

Their default response:  overreact.  And now, we are torching about 43% of the total supply created.

Of course, we will never really know if the massive spool-up of resources – the purchase of tents for parking-lot triage, a gazillion surgical masks and other prophylactic kits, and the creation of millions of vaccines that were never used – actually prevented a true “pandemic”.  Just like Y2K, those involved in pushing the pandemic line can claim victory because it never happened.

But in the case of Y2K, the vast amount of resources spent re-coding massive computer systems was spent using private resources.  By private resources I mean the government did not spend taxpayer dollars (except on government system upgrades) and did not borrow gobs of money to cover its very own fubars (except for its own systems).

And Y2K had the side “benefit” of creating vast economic opportunities that, despite the “dot-com” bubble, are still driving American technological innovation today.

Can we say the same thing about H1N1?
